How to....Foglie di washi tape - Washi Tape Leaves

Io adoro lavorare con i washi tape e così ho pensato che sarebbe stato divertente mostrarvi come utilizzo i washi con le mie fustelle preferite.

 

Hello there!  Melissa Phillips here with my first tutorial joining the team at Storie die Timbri.  I love creating with washi tape and thought it would be fun to show you how I combine washi tape with my favorite dies.

 

Visto che qui negli Stati Uniti è autunno ho realizzato una card invernale per voi tagliando alcune foglie con l'aggiunta dei washi.

 

And, since it's autumn here in the United States, I whipped up a fall card for you complete with washi tape die cut leaves.

Here's a quick tutorial for you:

 

Fase 1: Raccogliete i vostri rotoli di nastro washi preferiti, scegliendo colori e modelli che si abbinino a vicenda. Incollateli orizzontalmente sopra ad un cartoncino color crema. Ricordate che il nastro washi è semi trasparente, quindi se si utilizza un cartoncino colorato o con un disegno si vedrà sotto.

 

Step 1:  Gather your favorite rolls of washi tape, choosing colors and patterns that will compliment each other.  Adhere each horizontally across a block of cream cardstock.  Remember that washi tape is translucent, so if you use a block of cardstock with a design on it, this design will show from under the washi tape.

Fase 2: Scegliete le fustelle che volete usare, appoggiatele sopra al cartoncino e tagliate con la Big Shot. E guardate la magia :-).

 

 Step 2:  Select your chosen dies, and run your dies and cardstock block layered with washi tape strips through your die cut machine.  And, then watch the magic happen :).

 

Passo 3: Adesso avete delle originali foglie patchwork ma con i resti di nastro washi avanzati qua e là potete fare lo stesso con l'utilizzo di fustelle di altre forme, cuori, stelle, fiori, ecc

Step 3:  You are left with fun patchwork leaves, with snippets of washi tape used here and there.  Consider using hearts, stars, flowers, etc.

How To "MODELING PASTE + CARD DESIGNS"

First I gathered my supplies:

Liquitex Light Modeling Paste

Memory Box Stencil

Craft Sheet

washi tape

plastic knife/Coltellino di plastica

cardstock/cartoncini

1.  Using washi tape, I layer the stencil on top of the card panel.

2.  Modeling paste reminds me of frosting so you literally 'frost' the stencil.  I use the flat side of the knife:

3.  I generally don't put a really thick layer of the paste, I spread it thinly:

4.  You carefully peel away the stencil and it leaves you with a wonderful pattern and texture:

You could easily add color to the paste by using stamp pad reinkers!

This holiday season my goal is to design fairly 'flat' cards so that I don't have to invest huge amounts in postage.  The paste adds great texture without the bulk.

In questo periodo di festa il mio obbiettivo è progettare le mie card più piatte, in modo da non spendere tanti soldi di spedizione successivamente. La pasta aggiunge grande struttura senza creare spessore.
